| We saw dragons! | | As I'm sure many of you know, its Chinese New Years. Well, a few days ago. So, today the roomie & I were down in a part of town that we don't normally get to, and there's this great Chinese food place there we decided to detour over & eat at. We go there & they had dragons in the parking lot doing the drums & cymbols thing and dancing around. At the end, they came into the restuarant with the long (like 10 people) dragon & danced it thru the place. This way even my roomie could see it since outside it was too bright for her to see well. And, following the long red and silver dragon was a cute little dragon, that a couple of boys about 10-12 were carring. It was really cute! So, what have you done/seen for Chinese New Year? | |

Let me introduce you to Brighton's main attraction, the magical Royal Pavilion, home to three British monarchs. Decorated in the Chinese taste with an Indian exterior this Regency Palace is quite breathtaking. Built for King George IV, and also used by his brother William IV and their niece Queen Victoria, the Brighton Pavilion is an elaborate doorway into a fantasy world filled with mythical creatures, rich colours and skilled craftsmanship. Some of its original furnishings and decorations on loan from H M The Queen. Witness the extravagance of the Music Room with its domed ceiling of gilded scallop-shaped shells... amble along the Long Gallery with its bright blues and pinks. In the Banqueting Room, look up to the central chandelier, which is held by an exquisite silver dragon. You may also wish to take a Regency tea or light lunch in the Queen Adelaide tea rooms. The balcony outside this tea room provides wonderful views over the gardens. The Pavilion offers... | |
